Sister Wives' Janelle Brown Reveals Son Garrison's Cause of Death
Exclusive Interview: Janelle Brown Opens Up About the Devastating Loss
In an exclusive interview with People, Sister Wives star Janelle Brown has revealed that her son, Garrison Brown, died as a result of substance abuse. "Substance abuse played a role in Garrison's death," Janelle confirmed. "We are absolutely heartbroken."
Garrison's Struggles with Addiction
Janelle and Garrison's father, Kody Brown, had previously spoken about their son's struggles with addiction. In a 2019 episode of Sister Wives, Garrison admitted to using drugs and alcohol, and he discussed his desire to get sober.
Despite his efforts to overcome addiction, Garrison's struggles continued. In the months leading up to his death, he had been living with Janelle and had been working on his sobriety.
Janelle's Grief and Hope
Janelle described her grief as "unbearable," but she said she is determined to find hope in the midst of her loss. "I want to honor Garrison's memory by helping others who are struggling with addiction," she said.
She added, "I hope that by sharing Garrison's story, we can reach out to others and let them know that they are not alone. There is help available, and we need to do everything we can to support那些 who are struggling."
